An accordion fold is craft and bindery term used to describe a type of fold that is created by folding paper or cardstock in an accordion-like fashion. This type of fold is often used for greeting cards, invitations, and brochures.

An accordion fold is created by first folding the paper or cardstock in half lengthwise. Then, the paper is folded in half again, and then in half again, until you have a stack of accordion-like folds.

To create an accordion fold, you will need a piece of paper or cardstock that is at least 8.5 inches by 11 inches. A standard sheet of printer paper or a half-sheet of cardstock will work.

First, fold the paper or cardstock in half lengthwise. Then, fold the paper in half again, and then in half again, until you have a stack of accordion-like folds. Once you have your stack of folds, you can cut the paper or cardstock to the desired size.
