Taking advantage of the Amazon KDP Selects free promotion days is a phenomenal way to build your credibility and grow your platform as an author.  With your book being free for the allotted 5 days, you substantially increase your ability to garner positive book reviews and hook readers into a series where they will need to purchase one or more sequels.

Since these sites first sprang up 10 years ago, many of them have closed down completely or stopped accepting submissions.
