by CJ McDaniel // April 29

Here is the complete list of Magic Tree House books, an internationally-popular children book series written by American author Mary Pope Osborne. It revolves around two kids named Jack and Annie, who found a magic tree house that transports them on amazing adventures.

Salvatore Murdocca is the official illustrator of the book series. However, other illustrators were used for foreign editions.

Who Is Mary Pope Osborne?

Born on May 20, 1949, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Mary Pope Osborne got her fondness for adventure when she and her family would move a lot because of her father’s job in the military. Some of the places she grew up in include Oklahoma, Virginia, Austria, and Florida.

After finishing university, Osborne traveled all around the world and experienced some crazy adventures. She eventually stopped when she got a bad case of food poisoning.

She made her writing debut in 1982 with a YA novel titled, Run, Run, As Fast As You Can. She wrote a couple more young adult novels before moving onto children’s books.

Aside from the Magic Tree House series, Osborne delved into other genres as well, such as biographies, mysteries, American tall tales, and stories inspired by Norse and Greek mythology.

She became the 27th president of the Author’s Guild in February 1993, the most established writers’ organization in the US.

The Magic Tree House Book Series Rundown

The whole book series tells the extraordinary adventures of Annie and his brother Jack, who found a magic tree house in the woods. The treehouse allows Annie and Jack to travel to several places and times in history.

The books detail their adventures, and they end up traveling to many different places and times throughout history.

The Magic Tree House book series continues to grow until this day, with over 40 books published around the world. In book number 29, the second group of the book series started, with Merlin the Magician giving them quests to complete.

However, the books switched back to Morgan giving the missions to Jack and Annie in 2014.
