Here is the complete list of books published by James Patterson, a philanthropist and one of the world’s bestselling authors.

Famous for his thriller and mystery novels, James Patterson’s works always top the bestselling list, such as Witch and Wizard, NYPD Red, Daniel X, Maximum Ride, Women’s Murder Club, Michael Bennett, and Alex Cross.

Who Is James Patterson?

Born on March 22, 1947, in Newburgh, New York, James Patterson didn’t love reading until after he graduated in high school. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Manhattan College before pursuing a master’s degree in English literature at Vanderbilt University.

He left Vanderbilt after a year and took a job at ad agency J. Walter Thompson in 1971 as a copywriter.

Patterson was able to become the company’s North American CEO in the following years but still continued to write in his spare time. He came out with his first book, The Thomas Berryman, in 1976, and won an Edgar award.

Although Patterson penned other novels following The Thomas Berryman, he only achieved his first breakout success in 1993 with his book, Along Came a Spider. Using his work experience in ad campaigns, Patterson financed a television ad for his novel, becoming a huge factor in its best-seller status. He left J. Walter Thompson in 1996 to focus on his writing career.

In 2016, Patterson bagged Forbes’s list of highest-paid authors in his third year with his income of $95 million. He has sold over 300 million copies of his books worldwide, and he was also the first author in the world to sell a million ebooks.

James Patterson is currently residing in Florida with his family.
