Smell the fresh cut grass and feel the butterflies flutter past your face… It’s summer year round with this eye-catching fixed width two-column design. With nice graphics and valid standards compliant CSS and HTML this is the perfect balance between an awesome design and clutter free content.
The Greener side theme can be used for anything such as nature a site or as just a seasonal design.
If you have any custom changes you need made to this theme you can request them from the editing themes page.
Thanks for using one of our themes we are flattered.

Is it only me or the menu is not displaying properly in IE7?
Hi!
I love this template. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction of where to change the copyright from © 2010 jennhardy.com to Pork Pie Media, my company.
Also, there is something funny happening on the portfolio section of my website. Some of the hyperlinks are grey, others are orange. Is there any way to make it consistent?
Thanks so much for the awesome template!
Jenn
Jenn,
We are glad you like the Greener Side theme. There are two ways to go about changing the copyright.
The first would be to go into your General Settings in your WordPress Control Panel and change your Blog Title.
Now if you want to keep your Blog Title to read jennhardy.com and just change the copyright you would need to edit the footer.php file for this theme, you would be looking for the code and once you find it you just replace that code with the text you want it to read.
I hope this helps.
I love this theme, I swear I saw a Drupal port somewhere out there, any ideas?
We haven’t seen one out there, but if you come across it again send it our way so we can post it up!
Love the theme, shame it doesn’t work for IE6. Any suggestions of how to create a suitable IE6 alternative version, or is this likely to be a future update you might do?
we love the grass! one thing – under the meta widget, the login link has disappeared.
is there any other spot this could be hiding?
thanks!
Coleen
Thanks, I sent you an email with the new file you need. I will also be including this fix in our latest update.
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to me. I am not having any luck though. I definitely want the blog title to remain the same. In the footer.php what should the code look like? I cannot find anything too obvious…
Any ideas?
Thanks again for this awesome theme!
Forget it! I figured it out! A little trial and error is good for the soul. Please check out my site with the new copyright info here: http://www.jennhardy.com
Cheers!
I’m glad you found it, looks great! I actually meant to tell you what to look for but WordPress removed it from my comment since it was code(duh). But great job figuring it out despite my goof!
how do i remove the “subscribe to feed” from the top menu?
Hi Julie,
You can remove the link by finding the text “Subscribe to Feed” in the header.php file. You will delete everything from the <li> before it to the </li> behind it.
Brooner,
We are working on getting it to show correctly for IE6 and IE7, if we pull it off it will be in the next update.
I am having a problem with all of the pages with the main page as an exception overlapping onto the links/widget sidebar. I have activated a few other themes to make sure my content(especially the ecommerce cart i just added) wasnt the issue. They all worked fine, but I adore this theme far too much to change.. Help please
Hi Christine,
This is a plug-in CSS issue. I emailed you with the code to fix the problem.
i love the template; thanks. The foreground grass is defeating the ability of users to click ‘submit comment’. It can be achieved via the tab key, and I will add a few s under the button to push it up, but though you should know.
Thanks again.
Hi, Love the look of Greener Side and it is perfect for our Summer blog however the ‘submit comment’ function is not working.
Nothing happens when you click the ‘submit comment’ button. Have tried this requiring or not requiring registration, with and without requiring login, and making sure pages allow comments. Have also tried looking at it with chrome and with firefox.
Can you help me fix this? Would love to use this theme.
Many thanks,
Gordon
Love the theme. It’s displaying well for me, the only issue is that when someone attempts to leave a comment, the submit button doesn’t appear to be ‘linked’ or working. You click submit and nothing happens.
Anyone else report this issue and/or know of a fix for it?
Thanks
Love the theme. It’s REALLY nice. My only problem so far is that my readership cannot press the “comment” or “submit” buttons that are on the bottom of the page. Is there a way I can get around that, like or something like that?
Dear GJB, Traci, Gordon, and David,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, this issue should be fixed in the newest version of Greener Side!
Hello!
What a lovely theme- thanks so much for doing it!
Libby
Hi,
thanks for creating such a lovely theme! We used it for our urban farming project – the result is simply perfect and would never look so good without your creativity.
Greetings from Germany
Danielle
Loving this theme for our new music website, http://storyfieldmusic.com!
How do I remove the bullets in the sidebar?
Thanks,
Catherine
I have somehow lost the white background for the text, just through adding and editing posts. It is now black.
Any ideas?
Thanks, love the template.

Got it, thanks all the same. For the record, it was formatting values that had been inadvertently pasted into the post. HTML view revealed them.
Again, love the theme.
When I try an update the newest version, it gives me the error:
Incompatible Archive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Love this theme!
Nice job!
Ill borrow this theme from you untill I know how to make one myself
again, great job!
Hi I am having trouble updateing the theme in wordpress 3.0
An error occurred while updating Greener Side: Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature.
Great theme but would like the link from the calender to take a user directly to the main page for the date entry, not first going to the teaser page (that says “read the rest of this entry” etc). How can I modify the calender link to do this?
Many thanks.
I Love This theme,
See how it looks on my site, with some minor changes.

Thanks to everyone who has notified us of the Incompatible Archive issue. I have now updated this post with a link at the bottom that should solve the issue.

Just downloaded version 4.6 from WP themes, and it still has the grass at the bottom blocking the comment and navigation links.
