Started a blog for the first time, love this theme. I am, however, wondering how to change the font size/color in the header? Particularly in the sub title line. Can you please tell me where in the template editor I can find it? Thanks so much…
This is one of the best free themes I have ever seen. Thanks!

Maybe you should put “echo” in header.php, otherwise theme will report error about print.css
(does not write the theme uri in the script or html)
(write the theme uri in the script or html)
I’ve run my blog through http://webpagetest.org and got two 404 errors in regards to this theme.
The first I managed to solve by deleting a single line in style.css: “background-image: url(images/circle.jpg);”. In looking through the theme directory, there is no “circle.jpg” file to be found and upon deletion of said line, the theme still renders without issue.
The second error is being called from the “header.php” file. Page source returns this line: “” in reference to the “print.css” file, while in “header.php” it is coded as such: “<link type="text/css" media="print" rel="stylesheet" href="/print.css” />”.
I managed to solve this second issue by changing href to “/print.css” />”, as referenced here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_template_directory_uri
This is a wonderful theme! Keep up the great work!
Ik heb dit thema gedownload, maar hoe kan ik het nu toepassen op de site hierboven vermeld? Agnès

How to delete the menu(black below the head pic)? http://i52.tinypic.com/op7cw3.jpg
After installation, this is what it says when trying to select the theme ”
Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_theme_support() in /home/fitezine/domains/fitchristian.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/fresh-ink-magazine/functions.php on line 131″
I’m having trouble fixing a couple items.
How do I get the main menu to not add a drop down from the parent pages? I want to disable the hover/drop down feature.
How do I close comments on certain pages/posts?
Would you be able to help?
Thanks
You can change your menu or eliminate drop downs from the “Menus” section under “Appearance.”
To disable comments on a page or post you can do so by clicking the “Screen Options” button in the top right corner of a page or post you then make sure “Discussions” is selected. Now you should be able to scroll towards the bottom of the page and under the “Discussions” section you can disable the comments just for that page or post.
Thank you I was able to fix the comments, but am still having trouble with the drop down.
I go to the “Appearance” then “Menus” (where I have 1 custom menu created) and still dont seen how I can eliminate drop downs. Is there a button I’m looking for? Any other suggestions? Thanks
How deleted menu Home?
Thanks
Hi there, Thank you for a gorgeous theme! Can you tell me, is it possible for posts on the home page to be in reverse date order? As in reverse of when they were published? Or is there another way to keep my Welcome post at the top of the home page? Thank you!
Greetings and thanks for the wonderful FREE WP Theme,
I love this theme since it has all the feature our small church will need AND at the right price, LOL, the same amount I am receiving for volunteering to build the site, Free Yippee!! I know this might seem trivial since MOST people won’t even pay attention to this detail but since I did notice it I thought I would mention the fact that the Left hand side part of the “MAGAZINE” contains words although very light and nondescript which really don’t need to be on a church site. Words like pregnancy, pregnancies, high blood pressure, type II diabetes etc. I was wondering if there would be another file (jpg, gif or whatever that file is) with possibly bible verses and or words on it available or maybe a simple way for me to make my own and install it.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice you may give

Why does this theme show 2 columns, but only one is displaying for me? I have moved a widget over into it, but still nothing. I can’t find anywhere that allows me to change it from one column to two… please help!
Hi love the magazine idea, however not being a whizz kid on computers I am really struggling. Can you please help I want to dump written pages from magazines I have written mostly with artwork into my webpage, so when I click on the page it opens up a static document on that page, it would be like viewing a page from a magazine on my webpage. I have scanned the pages as pdf files and converted into a word document but when I try to copy either format all I can do is view it as an attachment on the web page, any advice would be fantastic! Thanks Tom.
First of all, LOVE the theme. It is very nicely done. Thanks!
How do I get the Font size for the titles of the posts to be smaller and how do I change the color of the “written by” which is now in red?
Отличная тема. Благодарю. Извините ссылку на вас перенесла на две другие страницы с главной.
Excellent theme. Thank you!
Hi, I had changed the blog name to a logo but since last upgrade of the theme it give me an error every time I try to change the header.php
Could you please help me?! Thanks.
I’ve added Analytics tracking code to an old blog I had, but which file to use in the Fresh Ink theme has me stumped. I’m finding only one lone tag in the header.php file, and inserting my Analytics code before that doesn’t seem to have any effect. Wrong file? Wrong location?
Thank you!
Hello Adazing, Thought I’d let you know I found your theme about a year ago and am using it for our R/C Aircraft Club Website. The members love it!!!
If you’d like to have a look (maybe even link to us?), we are here :

I am currently using this theme and it works really great. I trully like it!
Hello. I went to open my website that I use the Fresh Ink Magazine theme. It is all messed up. The posts do not fit on the papge. They start on the left. The right column widgets are at the bottom of the page. What happened? I use internet explorer. Other people can view it correctly on their computers. But it is “off” on my computer. any suggestions?
Briliant theme, really like it and using it, thank you! I do howover have a problem with calendar widget as it’s too big for the sidebar. Any ideas what’s the best solution for it to fit?
Thank you
Hello Again, Can you suggest the best way in which I can make the header pics auto rotate slide show style… Which plug in may be the best to do this for me….
Thanks much for your help…
Pete.
I love your template, thank you so much.
I am having an issue though, the comment link on the posts page just sends me back to the top of the page. I have checked the link in the discussion page to activate it, but still it won’t allow me to post comments on that page. The weird thing is that it allows it on the static pages. What am I doing wrong?
Hi I have this theme and I love it.
Question, I would like to upload multiple images at a time and add a slideshow – how can I do that? At the moment, it only allows me to click on one photo at a time to insert into post and I don’t see any options for a slideshow. I’m on wordpress and using fresh ink 1.03.
Thanks.
I have loved this theme for quite some time and yet I feel it is time to move on. I loved the way it made my website really have the look and feel of a magazine.
It felt as if the template was “custom made” for my website. Perhaps I will have the opportunity to use this template again.
Thanks Stephen,
We’re sorry to see you go
Love the theme.
How can I hide the tags from the main page of my blog?
I want just to show the title of post and first paragraph.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Antonios
You can hide the category tags for your post by inserting this into the bottom of your style.css sheet
.postmetadata {
display: none;
}
This is a super theme, but one problem, I have loaded a different header photo and I need to know how to change the font size/color in the header?
You can edit the title and subtitle by altering these three styles in the style.css sheet:
#blogtitle {
position: absolute;
left: 92px;
top: -1px;
}
#blogtitle h2{
color: #000;
font-family: “Times New Roman”, Times, serif;
font-size: 55px;
font-weight: bolder;
}
#tag {
position: absolute;
font-family: “Times New Roman”, Times, serif;
font-size: 14px;
left: 127px;
top: 98px;
}
Hi,
Have tried unsuccessfully to create child theme for Fresh Ink Magazine. I created the fresh-ink-magazine-child folder as described in the WordPress codex and have even tried adding (in addition to the style.css override file) header.php but it appears to have no impact on the parent theme. Is there something I must do to allow a child theme to impact Fresh Ink?
Thanks!
Herb
I have enjoyed using your theme, but unfortunately, since I’ve recently updated, you can no longer get to my home page by clicking the title in the header. How do I fix this? I’m not experienced w/using code.
And I can’t seem to figure out how to have a “home” page added that actually takes the reader there?
Hi Aimee,
You can add a home page by creating a menu in the dashboard in Appearance>Menus. You will create the name of your menu and then select that name from the drop down to make sure it is the one being used. Now from here you can add links to your menu by clicking on pages or post that you want to be in the menu and then pressing the “add to menu” button. To create a home button you will use the custom links section on this same page. Under url put your domain and under label put “Home” and then click add to menu and then save the menu. I hope this helps
Thank you for that!
I am using the theme FRESH INK, it has only Primary widget area, is it possible for me to add on a second, third and fourth widget?
I’ve been having fun with your design, tweaking it for my blog “Observations along the Road” (http://blog.cahighways.org/), which I just moved over from Livejournal. I’ve already tweaked colors and figured out how to increase the spacing for line items.
What I’d like to do now is change the date form to be 20xx and include the time, and I can’t figure out how to do that. Changing the functions in the page.php file does nothing, nor does changing the settings. Suggestions? (I’d also welcome your comments on the blog itself)
Thanks for the theme. It is a neat looking theme for the book type of appearance. A little bit different than the normal web page ‘look’.
I love this template. It has been BY FAR one of the easiest to use and customize out of all the templates I have ever experienced. I am having one issue tho that I could use your help with. I am trying to change the color of the link on the menu bar. It glows red when you hover over it and that is not complimentary to my brand colors. Also I would like to change the color of the drop down box it is currently dark grey, and the area that is highlighted when you scroll over the option is black I would like to change this from black as well. If you could direct me where to do this in the stylesheet I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you! Please take a look at what I am referring to by visiting My site at http://www.danilovestrong.com
Thanks Dani
Hi, I’ve downloaded your theme and really liked the look of it, so I modified it to make it match my needs.
If anyone wants to remove the sidebar for specific pages, you’ll need to create a template and modify the style.css file.
Here’s my template for a full-width page:
And this is the fullpagemarg style in the style.css
#fullpagemarg {
float: left;
width: 800px;
position: relative;
margin-left: 200px;
margin-top: 25px;
margin-right: 10px;
clear: left;
}
Paste this basically anywhere in the style.css file.
Now, go to your page in the admin console and select the template called Full page (no sidebar)
Oops, the code didn’t get copied

Sorry for the “Code:” at the beginning of each line. I think php code gets filtered from comments.
I posted the code on my website. Look under “Blog”.
Many thanks to the Adazing Design staff for a really nice looking theme!
I love the theme. I am having 2 issues so far.
1. I would like to be able to change the font and color of the Blog title as I use photgraphs and sometimes a dark font is more visable than a lighter one and vice versa.
2. I would like to be able to reduce the size of the post titles, remove the underline, and change font.
I read earlier comment and your response about going editing title and sub title on the style.css sheet. I have change font and color, updated and no change in theme.
I am not very html savvy.
Thanks
Bill
Hi,
I would like to display article count after each category on the right side bar(like politics(12)). How to do it?
thanks for this theme.
Love the theme! I would like to replace the image behind the magazine (the wood grain look) with my own image. How can I do this? Thank You!
Hi, I am using this theme and I really like it and change it a little bit. One small thing I can’t change and that’s why I am writing here. In sidebar i can see list of posts, pages etc… But length of posts, pages names in sidebar is too short, sidebar has space in rigt side for more longer names but I can’t find in style.css file wthat should i change for solving this problem. Can you right what block should I change for increasing words length per line in sidebar? Thank you. And if it interesting for you – here is my web site: http://euphoria-book.com/ Sorry, it is in russian language.
Love this template! I’m using it for a dog rescue site I’m working on. They have published a book to sell and collect $ to buy foster animal properties so the theme works perfectly! How can I remove the HTML tags from under the comment box?
Fantastic theme, and here comes the but . . .
Just two things. One was the fact that you can’t return to the home page by clicking on the title, but I see that answered above so I will try that.
The other is that all the post titles are underlined. Titles would look much better if they were not underlined. Fix?
Thanks again for the great job.
On second though, the fix I saw was only to create a home button, but what I was looking for is a way to make clicking on the title return the reader to the home page, which is the standard.
Thank you so much for creating such a fresh, interesting, and clean theme! I looked through MANY themes before deciding on this one, and I am very pleased!
I am still learning and tweaking it.
I keep trying to remove the link that is in the black bar beneath the picture; but, I cannot figure out why it is there in the first place. I am sure its my error.
( http://www.welladventure.com/ )
If you have any advice, that would be appreciated.
I was excited to see that you create many themes for churches. I didn’t realize that when I downloaded the theme.
Blessings to you!
OK.. This may sound silly.. When I closed my browser and reopened it, my dashboard is gone and I cannot find my administrative log in link. That is how I have logged in with my previous theme that I had for two years.. so now I do not know of any other way to access my admin tools.
(But I did find out how to fix my previous post question prior to closing my browser..
For those who have a similar experience: My Custom Menus that were on the side effected what showed on the black bar just below the Header. It seems the Custom Menu on the bottom of the sidebar shows up in top.. but not all Custom Menus. So I rearranged my Custom Menus so that the bottom one was “About” Which is what I wanted on the black bar.)
Hi Kristin,
Can you login using your domain then /wp-admin
Ok.. Sorry to be filling your page up. I think this is the last time. I found the solution to my login issue. I went to my domain/wp-admin/nav-menus.php and was able to enter my password there.
So, thanks for putting up with my posts. Hopefully they will help someone who feels just as silly as I do.
Hi! Great theme – I really enjoy the look and feel of it so far!
Any chances you’re planning to make it translatable, with for example PO-edit? Or is it already ready?? I couldn’t find any .PO- or .MO-files…
Thanks!
